Changes to public transport fares from 12 March 2011

Public transport fares will be adjusted with inflation from Saturday, 12 March 2011.

Metcard, myki and V/Line fares will rise by an average of 3.1%, in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Some ticket prices for seniors and weekend travel will be frozen at 2009 levels:

    * Seniors 5 x Daily, Seniors Daily myki cap – no change
    * 5 x Weekend Daily - no change
    * $3 per day weekend and public holiday cap (only available with myki)

The annual state-wide Victorian Student Pass will continue to be available and will cost $422 per year.
