Bowen Hills bus depot takes out Christmas competition

Six white boomers won the race for first place in the annual Brisbane City Council bus decorating competition.

The Christmas spirit was alive and well in the Bowen Hills depot when they decked the bus out with an Australian theme.

Second and third places went to Richlands and Willawong depots.

"Christmas is a time for giving and it's great to see the dedicated men and women that drive our buses going above and beyond to deliver a warm and friendly customer experience," Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said.

"This is now the fifteenth year that Brisbane's buses have been getting dressed up with Christmas cheer and the calibre of this year's entries makes me confident it will be a tradition that is continued for many years to come."

The bedazzled buses will remain decorated for the festive season and will hit the road to share some Christmas cheer.
