SEQ: Thanks for the go card top up machine roll out!

RAIL Back On Track (http://backontrack.org) a web based community support group for rail and public transport and an advocate for public transport commuters has said that the continued roll out of the go card top-up machines at key points across the TransLink network is very welcome.

Robert Dow, Spokesman for RAIL Back On Track said:

"RAIL Back on Track members have noticed a new go card top up machine at The University of Queensland Chancellors Place. This is a very welcome installation, and very well used top up machine as well."

"RAIL Back on Track suggests that a second machine be placed at UQ Lakes busway station in light of the very high level of travel this station receives."

"The community no doubt appreciates the continued roll out of go card top up machines, station readers and improvements across the TransLink network to make it easier for patrons to top up and use the go card. Go card top up machines at key locations at busway and major ferry terminals will be important when an essentially full go card ticketing environment is implemented from the 17th January 2011 (1)."

"RAIL Back on Track has released a public transport 'Smart GO CARD User Guide' created by fellow passengers for fellow passengers to assist people particularly who are using Go Card for the first time in 2011 (2).  This is a useful adjunct to the official TransLink go card resources (3)."
