If you are riding on a Richlands bus this afternoon you are a passenger on Brisbane City Council's best Christmas-decorated bus for 2010.

And the 'Think Pink' theme was no accident.

Both Linda Fearon and Trish Murdoch, who work at BCC's Richlands bus depot, very deliberately chose the theme.

Cancer claimed both of Ms Fearon's parents and another of her favourite aunts now suffers breast cancer.

Ms Murdoch's father died of cancer, while her aunt also suffers breast cancer.

"We had a Chicks in Pink promotion throughout our depot," Ms Fearon said.

"And so we thought it would be a good idea to make this the theme of the bus."

Lord Mayor Campbell Newman announced the top three gongs for BCC's best Christmas decorated bus for 2010 this afternoon.

The winners were:

    * First Place: Richlands;
    * Second place: Toowong; and
    * Third place: Larapinta.

A group of Tongan dancers, from the Mailefihi Siuilikutapu College in Tonga, came in with friends on the Burpengary bus to entertain the lunchtime crowds in Adelaide Street.
