SEQ:  The 2010 RAIL Back On Track Public Transport Report Card has left the station!

RAIL Back On Track (http://backontrack.org) a web based community support group for rail and public transport and an advocate for public transport users has launched its 2010 Public Transport Report Card.

Robert Dow, Spokesman for RAIL Back On Track said:

"What now has become an annual tradition, RAIL Back On Track members are now reporting on the public transport network in south-east Queensland.  This report card is accessible to public for viewing and is an excellent counter point to the expensive surveys commissioned by the transport authorities which never seem to make a timely public disclosure (1)."

"The report card is a valuable initiative as it is in effect an informed focus group of active users and their ongoing perceptions of the public transport network!"

"As was demonstrated over the weekend in the Victorian State Election, public transport was the critical issue and will be going into the 2012 Queensland State Election, something recognised by the Opposition with the recent creation of a Shadow Minister for Public Transport portfolio (2)."

"The 2010 Public Transport Report Card is open for comment and polling till the 15th December 2010!  Please visit our website for many constructive viewpoints (1)."
