The point remains that it is not what an individual wants (unless your name is Dictator Bligh) but what the community wants and to date the community at large has said a resounding NO to a name change

Agree totally but at least call the Busway that is an integrated part of the station Park Road as well.

^See thats one thing I didn't get....Why not do the consultation before the Busway station was named, and then name both one way or the other?

Simply another example of the collective stupidity of the current Transport Minister, Queensland Transport and Translink management, the idea of change simply for the sake of change achieves little or nothing, simply wastes time, effort and money that can be better expended on something benefical and is used as a tactic to divirt the attention of the public from the failures by the Minister, the Transport Department as a whole and Translink to provide the standards of service this government should provide.

The other point is that road based names are never to be encouraged.  The problem is that there is another station called Dutton Park.
