Are the trains going to be still running?  There's nothing on the TL website about this!

Yes, I expect so.  This might be rail grinding.  They close one line and use the other bidirectional as needed.  I recall a few years ago travelling on a down service through Oxley UP ... can be a little confusing.

It says track restressing, which for this time of year would be putting the rails in tension so that come summer when it gets hot and the tracks expand they will lose tension rather than going straight into compression and possibly buckling. Resurfacing could well be rail grinding though, but may also involve cleaning and replacing the dirty older ballast. Any idea what the ballast around there looks like?
