QuoteDeparting Oxley Station (Sunday)
5.40am    6.40am    7.40am    8.40am    9.40am   10.10am   10.40am

It is appalling.  The direction the majority are heading is inbound.  There are more trains outbound.   It is a F A R C E!

The investment in railway infrastructure is not being utilised properly.

Exactly what is needed here.  The down side is the late start but their frequency is better on Sundays than weekdays in south-east Queensland!

Again it highlights just how badly we are treated with respect to public transport.

There is no excuse for the Government not to act and direct immediate frequency increases on all lines.

And the frequency is independent of distance too.
Stations close to and far away both get good service, as standard...

Armadale Station - 30 km from Perth
Thornlie Station - 17 km from Perth
Fremantle Station - 19 km from Perth
Clarkson Station - 32 km from Perth
Mandurah Station - 70 km from Perth
Midland Station - 16 km from Perth

Distances compared to Brisbane:
(as the crow flies)
20 km is about as far as Springwood
30 km is about as far as Beenleigh
70 km is about as far as Nerang/Robina on the Gold Coast

I have noticed that QR is preferring this sort of layout for the displays. Question is - Is it the best way of putting forward information to commuters? Is just saying "Express" too vague? Should QR go back to telling people which stations the train runs express to avoid confusion?
They do, just wait a bit and it should flip over to the station list that it stops at.

Yep, I know that. What I meant was that the displays used to say "Express from Bowen Hills to Caboolture" or whatever. Now that it just says "Express" wouldn't this create confusion and cause passengers to accidentally jump on the wrong train, especially those unfamiliar with the system?

Unless of course, QR may be moving to one express pattern per line sooner or later???
