SEQ: University of Queensland-Warrigal/Gowan Rd bus route needed

RAIL Back On Track (http://backontrack.org) a web based community support group for rail and public transport and an advocate for public transport commuters has called for the implementation of a 159 bus route from the University of Queensland to Warrigal and Gowan Roads along the 150 corridor at least as far as Compton Road.

Robert Dow, Spokesman for RAIL Back On Track said:

"Currently intending passengers from Warrigal and Gowan Roads must interchange to reach the University of Queensland.  This has the effect that the 150 bus is going to be less full on the Griffith University busway station-City section and also congests the 139 and 169 buses further on the northern parts of their journeys."

"RAIL Back On Track is also concerned about how many buses fill up on the 150 corridor.  The suggested 159 route would make the system more efficient and improve journey times.
