Achieving hourly to Landsborough on the current infrastructure (perhaps establishing a new small stabling/siding at Landsborough) would be a good start to getting more Sunshine Coast commuters off the Bruce Highway and on the trains.

The Landsborough Station Car Park would likely be a issue if services to be rapidly improved in line with the Beerburrum duplication, there's already people parking out on the streets of Landsborough at 6:30am in the morning.

Abolishing the 649 and replacing it with the 635 Landsborough-Nambour railbus (in line with the Sunshine Coast route numbering) meeting every train at Landsborough alongside the existing 605 to Caloundra and 615 to Maroochydore would also help for those travelling north of Landsborough.

Rather than have a Landsborough-Nambour bus, I'd extend the Nambour-Noosa bus(es) south to Landsborough.
