What happened to the...

1. Results of the TransLink paper survey?

2. The blue and green express buses from Garden City and Indooroopilly?

3. The 200-passenger LighTram super buses for Brisbane?

4. Internet on trains?

1. Still being analysed?
2. Either still coming, or I guess BT didn't accept. It was announced as the state govn. offering BT an extra x number of buses to run the services but they didn't have to or anything.
3. That was announced ages ago, and IIRC they found that they weren't compatible with the intersection near the CC. Which is why we ended up with the 2 less big non articulated superbuses that they use on the 555.
4. Still a big maybe, but as I recall it was only ever being considered as a possible side benefit to however it was they were going to do something with the trains.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

That's interesting. I heard somewhere that they have the same turning radius as a normal articulated bus. Perhaps they don't?
Why can't these things be used on normal roads like, I don't know, route 199?

Because on crowded streets theres a risk of hitting things when turning. With a normal articulated bus doing a sharp turn the back already juts out a bit (a friend of mine was stopped beside one at some lights and had his van scratched when the bus turned left while he had to wait for the far side of the intersection to clear) so I can only imagine how this thing turns.

Not sure, probably not. I think the main reason the bus swings is the set of wheels in the back segment is so far behind the articulation. But even if the tram/light rail did, because they are in fixed tracks it would go to the same spot everytime and you would take that into account when designing the road layout.
