Idea for discussion

F20: Wynnum Plaza and Port of Brisbane connecting to Wynnum Central rail station.

Had a look at the idea to run buses from Lindum/Hemmant. I encourage ideas for that (post routes if you like), but IMHO for it to be viable I think a connection to Wynnum Plaza Shopping centre and Wynnum Rail station might be an idea to throw in.

F for feeder and 20, because, well it follows route 220 for a bit of the way

Wynnum Plaza
Wynnum Central (Timed connection to meet train) - should this be CBD bound or Cleveland bound?
then Via Tingal Road
Prichard Street and Port Drive
Port destinations on request after that.

So it acts like a feeder bus from Wynnum Plaza to Wynnum Central
and increased the frequency along the route 220 takes (which is surprise, surprise a service with a frequency that is an abomination).

Might be an idea to trial as a peak service only (anyone with ideas for a tentative timetable)?
and then see how that goes.

If it's going to be a service for the POB then that should be its only task. It shouldn't also try to be a feeder route from Wynnum Plaza to the station. Also, your route avoids all of the industrial areas between the port and the Gateway bridges, any particular reason for this?

I have to agree with Golliwog, It should be a feeder service for port workers.
Something like Pritchard St - Lytton Rd - Queensport Rd - Murrarie Station and it may as well terminate at Cannon Hill interchange.

Definately a peak-only job, however I would say PT to the ATC precinct around Eagle Farm is more of a PT priority than the actual port.

Well route 220 isn't that amazing in terms of frequency either, a local service that does the shops and then feeds to rail and the wynnum central TOD would be something that could run all day.

Agree that it should start/end at a shopping centre and include a railway station.

Is there much cross-port activity? I was thinking along the lines of beginning at Wynnum, doing the port, over the gateway and then off the ATC and DFO.

It's not as bad as it first seems for the 220 though - at least it combines with the 215 for a 30 minute frequency as far as Tingalpa.  The stupid part is that the 227 doesn't go along for the ride.

Actually deviating the 220 into the port isn't the worst idea.  Beyond Sibley Rd it is only duplicating rail service anyway.
