Bus lane on George street?

Heading home from uni today, I was waiting to cross the road at the intersection of George and Adeliade streets heading from the 109 bus stop to Central. There was a construction worker guy also waiting who I assumed was there doing things with the bike racks that were getting put in nearby, but I noticed he had a map/diagram of the intersection which had the left lane heading up George street marked as a bus lane. I like this idea.

It would be welcome - George St is an important bus corridor.

Great news!  Perhaps this is this being done on the quiet to prevent opposition.
