Tracks clear for train line buyout

THE Australian competition regulator will not oppose the acquisition of Adelaide-Darwin rail line owner FreightLink by the US's Genesee & Wyoming.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission recently concluded its 27-day review of the proposed deal under the Merger Review Process Guidelines.
