Chermside "H" (Hamilton Road) Bus Stop

Does anybody know if there is a reason this stop isn't indent into the footpath area like on the opposite side of the road?

It used to be that as far as I know that only the 325 stopped there, but now the 77 stops at it as well and dwells sometimes and with some of the attitudes some of the drivers stuck behind it when it's basically parked on the road I'm just waiting for a accident to occur....

As for space, if the stop was moved to be inline with the building awning there should be enough space (looks way smaller on image than in person)
