By the looks it it the journey planner is showing non train stations as stations....

I was looking at a job posting in North Arm (It's near Cooroy) so tapped the information in (heading from Roma street, leaving after 6am) and was surprised when it offered me North Arm train station as option but then it didn't give me any routes which I thought was strange since it had to be on the same line as Cooroy which I know you can get services to, So i changed it to Corroy -> Northarm and still nothing.

So I did a little bit of digging and It turns out according to the QROTI service that it's not in-fact a passenger station but listed as a "other location" (Other Stations, Passing Loops and Sidings) in their rail db in fact for their Profile of the location it lists it as a "Passing Loop", surely these shouldn't be listed on the Translink Planner?

Ha ha ha, I wonder where TL gets its info from? Unreliable sources might have crept in there...

I would say somebody at TransLink was going off operational timetables - which list North Arm as a stop - when plugging the data into the JP. You should alert them to it.

Isn't a "location" the same as a "landmark". In this sense it SHOULD be in the JP, the whole point is you can say this location to that location and it gives you a service if there is one. The fact that no passenger trains currently stop there makes it no less a "location".

I agree with dwb.

There isn't a bus stop at my house or a bus stop at my workplace or University. I still want to be able to put a combination of the three into JP and be given results for the bus stop around the corner or the CityCat wharf down the road.
