Some encouraging signs from both sides of the fence.  Further fare options for the go card, together with a bump in frequency will turn the election IMHO.

What's good is cross river rail seems to have bi-partisan support.

Also, the Opposition noticing that Translink need to be more customer focused.

O_128

wasnt the ICRCS the feasibility study for cross river rail???
"Where else but Queensland?"

brismike

All well and good . . but it just sounds like more spin to me.  :-\

Focus on active transport by the Minister  - let's see some more action including 1 metre matters legislation, more shared bike/pedestrian pathways and more bike lanes on roadways :bi

Interesting that Minister Nolan never mentioned Translink once - you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.

Quotewasnt the ICRCS the feasibility study for cross river rail???

It was a pre-feasability report.
A more detailed study is required to lock in the options and gain information about specific and detailed requirements for the stations etc.

Interesting given the excitment of opening the Clem7 which has destroyed the ability to cycle safcly in Inner Brisbane.  Do as I say not as I do.

How'd it make the situation worse than it was before?  It goes under inner Brisbane.

Have you seen Bowen Hills, Ipswich Road and Shafton Avenue lately?????

#Metro

Gotta love the stacked spaghetti junctions.
Straight out of Wilbur Smith Plan 1965.

No, saying but problems in 3 places have "destroyed the ability to cycle in inner Brisbane" is a bit over the top isn't it?

cartel_brisbane

If building more bikeways gets bikes off the road and off the footpaths, then its a victory.  However given the stupidly expensive bridge near the Mt-Cootha roundabout, they will likely make a completely ham fisted effort of it.

Mozz

+ kulrilpa bridge which doesn't connect to the bicentenial bikeway in any way shape or form unless you can levitate 15 metres from the bikeway to the bridge where they share the same gps coordinates
