Congestion to enter the tunnel, congestion immediately after exiting the tunnel
Congestion on the first day. It speeds up getting to your next traffic jam...

Breakdowns are going to happen, The thing that matters is how quick they respond to incidents.
From what I've seen it seems they did an alright job considering how many people would be using it today.

It should be expected that there would be some initial issues.  I suppose the real meat will come when its full bore traffic chaos everywhere else.
