NSW MyZone ticketing

So NSW is actually using old Brisbane magnetic strip card readers.
They are also simplifying the zones, prices and capping fares...

They have been using that crappy technology probably since the early 1990s.

But they have capping!
What a mess ticketing was pre-translink. If people don't like GoCard, would they be prepared to go back to the validator tickets? I hated them because they would eat my card, it would get stuck, or the magnet would wear out or desensitise...

So what?  Ultimately, they have a system with significantly more expensive fares (except for very short and very long trips), little integration, and much slower bus boardings.
