Initial thoughts, Richlands / Shorncliffe all stations.  Folks from Richlands will be able to change to down expresses if desired at Darra or track in on the sweeper.  See Ipswich line thread as well --> http://backontrack.org/mbs/index.php?topic=3316.0

Peak should be split into 2 service patterns:

1)Ipswich/Redbank to City running express from Corinda to Roma Street, calling only at principle stops such as Indooropilly.
2)Richlands/Corinda* to City all stations.

These services would run at the same frequencies, expresses using the mains, and all stations using the suburbans between Darra and Milton, and alternating between Milton and Bowen Hills on the mains.  At the current 13tph, this would be each service running every 9 mins. At an enhanced 15tph, this would be each service running every 8 mins. These service patterns should spread the load reasonably well between all stations and express services.

* Unfortunately the shortsighted lack of electrification of the 4th track between Corinda and Darra means that only every other all stations train will be able to run between Richlands and Corinda, which would give Richlands a train every 16 to 18 mins at above frequencies.

Off-peak it seems sensible to extend the current Shorncliffe to Corinda service to Richlands, as well as making at all day/7 days. This would provide a 15 min off-peak service all day/7 days from Darra to the City.

Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2007 - 7tph
Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2010 - 4tph
* departures from Central between 16:30 and 17:30.

Just a side point, we MUST keep the focus on building Ellen Grove and Springfield Lakes stations from the outset (green field) and double line all the way ... to Springfield.

Yes, it seems logical to link up Shorncliffe with Richlands, hackneyed I know but a WIN WIN!   :P
