Here is an interesting summary of Ferny Grove line timetables compiled by a member (thanks).

It highlights rather dramatically the not so great ramp up of frequency over the years ...

Bring back the 5.13 am steam!   ;)

Very interesting.

It should be noted that when the Mitchelton to Keperra duplication opened, the max number of services/hour in the am peak went from  7tph to 7tph. The number of stations served by all 7tph went from 3 to just 1. The longest peak service gap at Gaythorne and Enoggera increased from 18mins to 23mins!

Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2007 - 7tph
Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2010 - 4tph
* departures from Central between 16:30 and 17:30.

What an embarrassment. I can just see a Courier-Mail kind of expose kind of story... "rail frequency like 1959"
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

If the CM was going to do that, they should do a full comparison of all lines. But it's the Courier Mail that we're talking about so I doubt that would happen. It'd make a good story though.

Highly doubtful that the CM would do anything that would seriously show up the failings of the present Government, with the amount of revenue they derive from the Government in the guise of advertising one could readily come to be of the belief that the Government is a major interested party in the CM which operates more as the Governments department of political propoganda and spin than as independent credible news media outlet.
