1620 Night Tour Up the Main Range

Sunshine Express Rail Tours are operating a one of special tour (The Rough It Express) to Meandarra 5th to 7th February for rail enthusiasts to relive travel the mail train travel of years gone by and also to hear the sounds of QR's Heriatge Diesel 1620 burble up the range in the evening air.

The train consist will be three wooden sleeeping cars, dining car, Sydney Mail type sitting car, plus Guards Van. A very limited number of seats have been released and are available for the evening one way trip from Roma St to Toowoomba with the fare being $75.00 including Dinner in the Sunshine Express Dining Car.

Own travel arrangements for the return trip would be necessary, suggest return by Westlander Saturday morning from Toowoomba or by coach viz-Greyhound or Toowoomba Transit.

These limited seats can be secured by phoning the ARHS tours office between 10am and 3pm Tuesday 19th January only and quote code POMRANGE. Should there be sufficient interest then a mini bus might be arranged for a return trip Friday night back to Brisbane from Toowoomba at the cost of a few extra dollars.
