Hi trainsperth. Do you have a contactless ticketing system over there?
I've heard good things about Perth's PT.

Yeah they do it called smart rider and has capping and automatically works out if you are in the free zone with in the city hub. http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/TicketsandFares/SmartRider/GettingStarted/tabid/80/Default.aspx

SE Qld has so much to learn and catch up. How about a software update on Go card to include Daily, Weekly and Monthly capping!!!!!!

Why can we have free travel between city stations ???

Or better yet free travel within one zone

How hard would it be to put those signs in aswell ???
"Where else but Queensland?"

the one criticism i have when it comes to the FTZ (Free Transit Zone) is that they are only free if you have a smart rider
otherwise you still have to pay $1.70 standard/$0.60c concession for a 2 section ticket

http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/UsingTransperth/FreeTransperthServices/tabid/146/Default.aspx

though no doubt im sure there are plenty of people who do not bother
but that all depends on what stations they are getting on/off at & how nice a mood the transit officers are in if there are any checking

at the end of the day though, for people who live here, there isnt really any good excuse for not purchasing a smart rider
it is so much more inconvenient & time wasting to purchase a cash ticket now that we have the option not to & you also get a discount on smartrider

Good point!

It is very easy to miss the grey go-card readers on platforms. Myki readers are much more obvious! Can Translink paint the readers yellow?
