Trying to use public transport has again proved me to be less than smart. Despite ministerial protestations that everything is fine I fund mtuself sitting at taringa railway station at 11.30pm going nowhere. Signal fault we are told. Sitting on the train going nowhere.........why do we persist????? I love the planet we live on and hate to think my decision to drive my car helps to destroy the environment..... But I also really dislike the constant and persistent and endemic problems with the rail network preventing trains running ...30 mins delay thus far ...mi idea when or if we are going anywhere why are we waiting why are we waiting FFs please fix this broken system

Mozz

Sorry for the spelling mistakes iPhones are hard to type on. Still here at taringa some advice from ghdcguard but nothing for the last 20 mins. Water would be useful as would some toilets that are open.

Mozz

Maybe soon the erail updates wil tell me that there is a problem nothing heard thus far

Mozz

Almost an hour now still no news sitting on the train waiting for information

Mozz

Well once again if people had been told that the delay was going to be 60mins plus they could have made some choices but no here we sit no idea if train is going to move or not maybe those ghost buses will be announced next????

Mozz

Woohoo after one hour we are told that sometime in the next ten mins we are going to go from taringa back to Roma st then back via south Brisbane to corinda then . .... Magic happens here and maybe we might arrive at the destination we set oug to achieve.......

Mozz

Erail missing in action nothing has been reported via SMS

Mozz

Broken promises still here nothing happening

Mozz

New update we are nog going backwards to city but sometime in the future we are going forward to ipswich    Train staff doing there best to keep us informed but not a lot of support fog them it appears

Mozz

back underway and pulling into indri

Thanks for these updates Mozz.

The out of peak disruptions are seldom documented.  The lack of erail may be because of the times signed up, also no message on Twitter from TransLink either.

There is a planned closure this coming weekend between Corinda and Rosewood.

I had a train significantly delayed this week too. No announcement over the PA, nothing.
It was in the evening- nothing was said. Someone had to ring up QR for an explanation.

There must be more cancellations and significant delays than we are told about.
They will never ever show up in the "On time performance" metric, and passengers are simply left wondering "perhaps I came too late and missed my train?"
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

Another delay/failure on the Ipswich line on Friday - train to Shorncliffe due at 12.39 at Ipswich was delayed at Sherwood with some fault, and the Caboolture train 15 minutes later was re-routed onto platform 4.  The Shorncliffe train finally arrived about 20 minutes late at platform 2, with the doors on one carriage sealed.  We were all told to get out at Central and take the next Shorncliffe line train, so total delay getting home was 30 minutes.

Announcements were timely and adequate, both at Toowong and on the train, though talking to somebody who boarded at Auchenflower, she didn't seem to know what was going on.
