Have the 4 January 2010 fare increases of up to 40% been postphoned??

If you go to the translink website:

http://www.translink.com.au

and select a journey on a day past the 4th of January 2010 the fare price indicated is still in normal (not wildly inflated) fare structure dollars.

I did find a page on the proposed new fares, including some references to "off peak" go card fares :)

I think it just reflects an inability to properly update the journey planner ....

The amount of money that has been spent on advertising the new fares would seem to suggest it is on as planned.

Half baked projects, have long term consequences ...

The boffins at Translink haven't determined a way to implement a future-dated price increase.  Either that or they simply haven't go around to loading the new prices in yet.

Perhaps we should print out the fare pages for future-dated journeys and demand to ride for that price.   :D

The Journey Planner is actually updated by a company called Serco which is a contractor to TransLink.  Serco have a habit of not updating it until only a week or so before the due implementation date.
