An interesting alternative is to abolish the 450, except for late night services and truncate the 454 at Indooroopilly.  It would be slightly more expensive to do it that way as compared to the 450, but seems to provide a better service.  Or, even cheaper, you could interchange at Mt Ommanney shops from the 460.  So long as the connection is guaranteed.

I was just wondering, back when there was all the construction on Coro drive and they changed all the buses so they stopped at Indro and they had the 400 or something doing runs between there and the city, how did that go? I don't live out that way so never experienced it. I was just thinking it could maybe be used as a case for/against trunk routes?

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I thought it was pretty good for me, except that it stopped at 7pm or so, so the impact on me was lessenned.  Of course, I didn't have to transfer and it gave me a single CBD stop combined with accessing the city at KGSBS which is the fastest way whenever there's any real traffic on North Quay, so I'm pretty biased.

I can see that in that case there would easily be issues with over crowding at Indooroopilly, the station there isn't really designed for massive amounts of people. But hopefully any proper trunk route wouldn't just be between 2 stops like that, there would be a couple of points to stop at, so in that case maybe Indooroopilly and then further out and the Mt Ommaney shopping center?
