Custom Journey Planner

Hi all,

I have been frustrated by the mobile Translink Journey Planner due to the need to retype frequent destinations.

So I wrote a php application that generates a Custom Journey Planner form, sitting on a free web hosting service:

It generates a form similar to the Translink form, but with a drop down box for 10 of your favourite destinations (instead of a text box).

Once you have generated the new form, you can save it to your bookmarks and keep using it whenever you need Journey Planner.

Please try it out for yourself, and let me know your thoughts. It should be usable on web-enabled mobiles.

I have had occasional problems with the Custom Planner using 3G connections, I'm not sure why. It's my first php script so I expect there are improvements to be made.

If you want to change your favourite places you'll have to go back to the generator and create a new form with a different name (the script isn't allowed to overwrite any existing forms at the moment).

Cheers, Paul

I've made some upgrades to the Journey Planner Generator, it should now let you edit your planner (if you use the same computer to do so) and should look up the current time when you are using it. It should also remember whether your favourite destination is a "Stop/Landmark" or "Street" and enter it automatically.

I'd be grateful for any feedback. It was a fun learning exercise putting it together!
