What's everyone think about the 196/197/199 routing via Ivory St full time?  Would be a bit annoying for Fortitude Valley-New Farm commutes, but much better for all other New Farm trips.  Even if you are using a northern train line, you would probably only lose 10 minutes or one bus, tops.

From a personal perspective I would love to have the 19X buses going via Ivory St for all services. This is rather selfish of me though because I live in New Farm within an easy walk to the Valley so the loss of Valley stops does not effect me at all.

Inbound trips via Ann St are fine but having to do the big S shape via Wickham St, Warner St and Ann St outbound is really annoying and adds at least 5 minutes to what would otherwise be a 10 minute bus trip.

These buses are weird.
1. 196/197 are virtually identical except for splitting in a few streets in New Farm. Why do this?
2. They have weird express patterns. Express only late at night? Why does it do this? Shouldn't it be express during the peak hour when it is needed?

Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

It is only buses headed towards Fairfield that have the weird express patterns. Buses headed to New Farm have expresses between 3:30 and 6:30PM which is normal enough.

Perhaps leave the 196/197 alone: they have the 195 in peak.  It also allows interchange to the Valley if you really want to.

Also, the far end of the 199 will soon be able to get to the Valley on the new CityGlider.

Changing the 199 would be the priority.
