Oxley station platform 3 changes - effective 19 June 2009

TransLink advises that platform 3 at Oxley station will be resurfaced from 6.30pm on Friday 19 June to Monday 22 June 2009.

Fare machines go card readers

The fare machine and go card readers on platform 3 will be unavailable until approximately 5.30pm on 22 June.

Please use the go card equipment on the other platforms.

Will the resurfacing raise the level of the platform to carriage floor height?  No what a pity that would be something realy usefull and productive.

The AVVM was not in location this morning as notified, but I was able to touch OK on platform 3.

Some punters a bit cross that no ticket machine and had to track over to the other platform.  Has been a lot of notice,  but it would help to have signs in place.  Particularly for the casual travellers.  For example, I spoke to a senior couple who were heading to hospital and missed the 5.55am service due to the fact that they had to head over to the other platform to get tickets.

Update: Platform 3 has been resurfaced. However, due to wet weather the concrete has not been able to dry enough to re-install the fare machine.

Weather permitting, this is scheduled to happen Wednesday morning (24 June).

As below, please continue to use the fare machines on platforms 1/2.

No machine this morning at 5.55am.  Hopefully back later today ....

Still no AVVM platform 3 this morning (Friday 26th June), but I have been advised that it will be put back today.

No X  seen on go gates this week at Roma St and Central when I have passed through (I always check the lot, yes I know, I got to get a life ... LOL)

AVVM back on platform 3, used it this morning for an off peak ticket for Mrs Ozbob, who resolutely sticks to paper on weekends ...
