Additional trains --> http://www.translink.com.au/event_trains41.php#from

Five additional train services will run prior to the first game with 19 extra services after the games.  This means though of course overloading at the CBD stations on the normal Ipswich bound afternoon/evening peak services for the normal punters, so leave early if you can!   ;)

Just sent this email to QR Passenger

G'day,

I am on board the 4.12pm Redbank service ex Roma St.  The 4.08 Ipswich was very heavily loaded.  What is irritating is that the station announcements at Roma St were directing football patrons to board the IPS service when immediately behind it is the Redbank service (which is lightly loaded).  Where possible couldn't the station staff (at Central and Roma St)direct football patrons to board the short haulers and the extras rather than force the regular commuters off their trains?  I mentioned this to one of the staff on  platform 8 and he could do nothing but agree.  This may assist to better manage this.
Just an idea.

Cheers
Robert
