SEQ: Well done public transport staff!

RAIL Back On Track (http://backontrack.org) a web based community support group for rail and public transport and an advocate for public transport users has acknowledged the efforts made by public transport staff to keep the wheels turning during the very difficult weather conditions during the week.

Robert Dow, spokesman for RAIL Back On Track said:

"It has been a very difficult week for public transport.  Many services have had difficulties but we have all got there in the end!"

"Our bus drivers, ferry and rail crew and support staff demonstrate dedication and commitment to the task at hand every day.  This has been well demonstrated this week."

"Despite disruptions, commuters have been patient and appreciative of the circumstances and extra efforts made by public transport staff."

"Thank you, and thanks to all the emergency support staff  and the wider community out there fixing power, clearing debris, fixing roads, helping neighbours clean up, in short caring for each other."
