There is an alert on the TransLink web site  http://www.translink.com.au/

Important information about concession go card expiry.

Unfortunately is incorrectly linked at this time, but it is possible that the concession go card expiry issue maybe getting kicked into touch.

I will contact TL and let them know the link is wrong.

I came across quite a few expired GoCards today.. After seeing so many early in my shift, I began asking questions to try and work out why the cards had expired. Seems a lot of Studend ID cards expired today and the GoCards that had not been updated with the students details for 2009 also expired.. Now to find ozbobs link and see how close my thoughts are to Translinks version !!

I phoned TL and let them know about the incorrect link.

Hopefully will be fixed in time ...  I am keen to know what the important information might be  :-w

QuoteConcession go card holders are reminded to ensure their go card is still valid for use. The expiry date of a concession holder's go card is linked to the expiry of their nominated concession entitlement. If your concession go card is due to expire or has expired, you will need to apply for a new one:

    * online
    * at go card retailers and selected QR ticket offices
    * by calling TransLink on 13 12 30, or
    * by completing a go card application form and mailing it to us.

You have 90 days from the expiry date to obtain a refund or transfer any unused balance to a new go card.

You can have your unused travel balance transferred to another go card by:
#callingTransLink on 13 12 30,
or completing the go card cancellation and refund form.

Alternatively, you can obtain a refund before your card expires by:

Visiting a selected go card retailer.
Your card balance must no more than $50 (plus any card deposit),
and your last top up was made by cash at a fare machine
or by any method at a go card retailer (excluding QR ticket offices).
