Roma St suburbans to Normanby flyover

Hi,
It's been previously mentioned on this board that a flyover from the suburbans to Normanby is unachievable.  Looking at the area in Nearmap though, why not knock back platform #3 by a track width and then have a new track which goes straight to the flyover?  Too expensive?  Doesn't solve all the problems, of course, as Roma St #7 starters still need to cross both the mains, and #8 terminators need to cross one of them.  Still seems to make it much easier to timetable out the majority of the conflicting moves in/near the core.
