In the interest of Kick starting the Economy and taking pressure off the National Routes as well as providing employment to dis-placed workers, I suggest that a new rail line be constructed between Toowoomba and the Adelaide to Darwin Line.

The most direct route would be across the alignment of the Plenty Highway, the suggestion for a western rail by-pass of Brisbane would tie into this line well.

This line would cut the travel time for goods from East to West coast and free up a lot of space on the National Highways. The opportunity to bring prosperity to the many out back towns would be a commercial consideration as well.

Elmer Fudd strikes again, again somewhat less than practical.
The taxpayers, myself included, prefer something that is practical when they have to pay for it.

I'd rather see a duplication between Keperra and Ferny Grove!
