Train services on the Caboolture line will be delayed by at least 30 minutes this morning after engineers discovered damage to the track.

Queensland Rail has warned of peak disruptions after a section of the track near Dakabin station was found to be broken.

The cause and extent of the damage is not yet known. Maintenance crews are at the scene.

A Translink spokesman said inbound and outbound services will use the remaining track between Narangba and Petrie, causing delays of about 30 minutes.

Affected passengers should consider alternate transport, he said.

Meanwhile, a multi-vehicle smash on the Bruce Highway at Bald Hills is causing traffic headaches for road commuters.

The accident occurred just south of the Pine Rivers bridge about 7am and forced the closure of two southbound lanes.  Motorists should expect moderate delays.

And a broken down truck on the Pacific Motorway northbound, about one kilometre before the Gaza Road exit, is also causing minor delays.

TRAIN commuters on the Caboolture line into Brisbane face delays of up to half an hour this morning due to broken tracks.
A TransLink spokesman said the track was broken near Dakabin station and crews were assessing the damage.

The spokesman said the damage was found about 5.30am during a routine inspection.

"The damaged section is usable but only at slow speeds," he said.

The spokesman said affected passengers should consider alternate transport or expect delays of between 15 minutes and half-an-hour.

MULTI-vehicle accident on the Bruce Highway is causing traffic chaos just north of Brisbane.

The accident has blocked two inbound lanes, just south of the Pine River bridge, and banked traffic back to Anzac Avenue.

A Brisbane Metropolitian Traffic Management Centre spokesman said two cars and two trucks were off to the side of the road, with police, fire and ambulance services all on scene.

The spokesman said the accident happened about 7am just before the highway split into the Gateway Motorway and Gympie Arterial.

Motorists are advised to delay their trip until the area is cleared.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said the Pacific Motorway was also heavily congested inbound from Loganholme to the Gateway Motorway merge.

The Gateway Motorway was slow earlier this morning, but has now returned to normal conditions.

The railway crossing on Cavendish Road at Clarence street, East Brisbane, is malfunctioning and motorists should expect moderate delays.

Also, there is no right turn from Milton Road into Cribb Street, Milton, Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.30am - 9.30am and 3.30pm - 6.30pm.
