Have your say on development applications

Anyone can formally submit comments to Brisbane City Council to support or oppose a development application. These comments are called 'submissions'.

You can make a submission on any type of development application. However, the legal right to appeal Council's decision is only possible on impact assessable applications and change applications advertised for comment.

Giant Stones Corner development push for six blocks of land

Developer Pedakil 2 hopes to build a two-tower, 226-unit development at Stones Corner.

The developer, Pedakil 2, lodged an application to build the complex on 3846 square metres between 73 and 85 Cleveland Street, about 300 metres from the landmark Stones Corner Hotel.

Each tower would rise to 12 storeys, but the neighbourhood plan only allows for eight.

The proposal included 79 one-, 83 two-, 62 three- and two four-bedroom units and would include 330 car parks, including 57 for visitors and 10 shared spaces. Bicycle parking space for 226 residents and 57 visitors would also be included.

No ground level retail was included.
