Combining the Queensland Rail total (aggregate) results on the same axes allows a better appreciation of what is happening overall.

Improved OTR for January 2023, but still below KPIs.

Train fleet issues are impacting.

The NGR order was originally to be 100 six car trains, was cut back to 75 six car trains.

Another fuking stupid political decision. I am sick of these incompetent pr%%ks, both sides.

Update on on-time running performance for Queensland Rail Citytrain Month of January 2023

15th March 2023

Greetings,

Citytrain services, including peak and off-peak, are measured as on-time when they arrive within three minutes and 59 seconds of their scheduled time, except for the interurban services viz. Gold Coast, Rosewood and Sunshine Coast lines, which are measured as on time if they arrive within 5 minutes and 59 seconds.

Target is services > 95% on time, all lines.

FMA = force majeure adjusted
CI = customer impact (what passengers actually experience)
CP = combined peaks

The on-time running (OTR) data is published on or about the 10th each month for the month preceding the last month at https://www.queenslandrail.com.au/aboutus/ourperformance

Overall (aggregate) OTR results for January 2023 for 24/7 and CP FMA measurements were below the target of 95%.  There was an improvement from the previous month, hopefully this will continue.

Reference at the RAIL Back On Track forum >  https://railbotforum.org/mbs/index.php?topic=15092.0 where detailed analyses of all individual lines are available.

We note ' signalling issues ' remain a problem on the network ( https://railbot.info/forum/index.php?msg=62906 ) .
Serious consideration must be given to rolling out ATP - ETCS L2 to the entire Citytrain network with priority.
A complicated patchwork of different signalling systems is just a recipe for constant ongoing problems.

Regards
Robert
