Green Line LRT: North to South track alignment (March 2017)

"This video shows what the Green Line LRT could look like based on the current design as of March 2017. Please note that the detailed alignment could change and is subject to Council approval. Final alignment and station location recommendations will be presented to City Council in June."

Notes:
- Plenty of median highway and road median running
- Running of LRT even in low density areas, fed by buses rather than rely primarily on walk-up pax
- Lots of Priority B running
- Widely spaced stops for high speed, similar to commuter rail
- LRT vehicles joined together to form trains
- Park and ride in outer areas, just like commuter rail
- Low floor vehicles for this one, capable of high speed (likely around 100 km/hr top speed)

None of this is controversial or engineering the impossible. C-train has been around for 40+ years and applies principles that Perth, WA has also used for heavy rail in low density. Start looking at using road medians to run LRT; LRT is a very flexible mode and allows us to extend rail to areas where it would be impossible to put heavy rail or uneconomic to do so.

LRT does not just have to go in inner city high-density areas.
