I have this planned too early afternoon as I am cycling the new sealed trail from Ferny Grove to Samford Village.

I have used smart ticketing at the beginning of this week with Google pay with the phone from Central to Fortitude Valley. It's fast and efficient.

All has gone well with the smart payment. No difference in touches with go card except more sensitive. Translink did say that the card will have to be separate. I held my MasterCard about 10cm above the touch area and it senses ok.

Going to be a good system when fully implemented.

Travelled on MasterCard on the 24th June 2022

There was an immediate $1 charge ( Translink SmartTicket Qld ) on 24th June 2022.

I expect the fares will be charged next week minus the $1 holding deposit.

Which is correct, 2 by 2 zone off peak adult at $3.29 each trip.

The $1 holding deposit dropped off.
