PUBLIC TRANSPORT ? BRINGING THE WHOLE OF IPSWICH CITY TOGETHER

* What are the transport infrastructure needs for the rapidly growing western region to prosper?

* With petrol prices rising, how can we provide efficient affordable access to education, employment and services to the whole community in the next 5 ? 10 years and beyond?

* What practical options exist to prevent South East Queensland?s chronic traffic congestion and rising greenhouse emissions of private road vehicles in Ipswich ?

Community Action for Sustainable Transport invites you to attend a free public forum chaired by Ipswich City Mayor Paul Pisasale, where answers to these questions and more will be discussed by a panel of experts including:

Dr. Jago Dodson, Senior Research Fellow, Urban Research Program, Griffith University

Mr. Warren Harris, Immediate Past President (Ipswich Branch), Urban Development Institute of Australia

Mr. Gary White, Planning and Development Manager Ipswich City Council

Professor Alan Rix, Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Queensland , Ipswich Campus

Where:  Barry Jones Auditorium, Ipswich Global Information Centre, 40 South Street Ipswich
