Sunshine Coast public transport system

TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the number of Sunshine Coast people using buses has declined by 120,000 during the past five years.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to call on the State Government to deliver a better public transport system in consultation with the public, which takes people where and when they need to go, with more services and more seamless connections as well as transparent benchmarked performance targets.

Be good to have later evening bus services leaving Caloundra to Landsborough station with connections to Brisbane by train. Especially during the summer season. I think 7pm is too early.

The Sunshine Coast must hold the world record for the highest number of public transport related petitions in the history of Queensland (i.e. since 1859).

The E-Petition has reached 200 signatures.  I think we have helped it along a little.

The Facebook post is getting good engagement.  All helps.

We must keep on keeping on!   :hc
