It is an interesting place at peaks SC.  The morning VLine arrivals seem relentless and considerable numbers of passengers.  I am not sure how long lines such as Geelong and Ballarat can cope with the present VLocities etc.  They really need to be sparked and some of the HCMT trains ran on them.  Upgrades to the Ballarat line will just result in even more passengers to be added in.

People don't like hearing this, but I have not much doubt that Gippsland services will start and terminate at Pakenham within a few years.  This will free up some more train paths for the HCMT, and free up some train space at SC.
