A NEW bus station, ferry terminal, high-rise buildings and a "people's bridge" are planned as part of a new vision for the Canning Bridge precinct.

In the short term, dedicated bus lanes will be created in both directions of Canning Highway, as well as cycle lanes.

Over the next decade, a bus station will be built on the Como foreshore, between the rail station and river, linked to an overpass from Cassey St.
