This is how I see the ranking at present.

Transperth is first rate in all respects.  Sydney is a grand network and generally works well.

Adelaide is also a lot better than often given credit for.  Has frequency where it matters eg. Gawler line.

Melbourne is let down a bit by constant infrastruture problems and poor signalling.  They are starting to sort it.

Yes, I have them very close.  Melbourne is great in terms of frequency and general network but they really have some major issues with reliability.
