Toowoomba Bus Network - Review Ideas

I will be drawing an interactive map of the current TWB (Toowoomba) network coded by frequency. Members will then be able to have a discussion from that to comment.

Does anyone have the expertise in how to find patronage data for individual routes from data.qld.gov.au or similar?

Main thing i notice about Toowoomba is that there is a golden triangle with Clifford Gardens, the Hospital and Grand Central, so most routes would want to loop around and do all three.

I think the main improvement to be had in Toowoomba (and all these regional cities) is frequency. TL has already had their way with the actual routes, and they're competent at this kind of thing: a coverage network that's deliverable with current limited resources, as well as being structured enough to slot any improved service levels right in.

Would definitely be interested to see how patronage falls as there's no doubt 1 or 2 routes that need a big frequency boost but currently aren't getting it because there's barely the resources to deliver the minimum network.

They have a few 'safari tour' routes so the results of the stop spacing analysis will be very interesting.
