Southern Moreton Bay Island (SMBI) ferry minor timetable change

Last updated: 11.16am Tuesday 2 August 2016

From Monday 29 August, the Southern Moreton Bay Island (SMBI) ferry timetable will be adjusted to allow the majority of passengers to transfer more easily between ferry and local bus services. These changes will affect both the weekday and weekend timetables and are in response to community feedback.

Wherever possible, we have tried to improve bus and ferry connection times. This means most ferry times will change and your usual service may leave earlier or later.

Please check the new ferry timetable prior to travel to ensure you arrive at the terminal before the ferry departs.

Grab a copy of your new ferry timetable (PDF, 429KB).

We will be handing out new timetables and answering questions at the Redland Bay Marina from 22 to 29 August at the below times:

Date    Time

Monday 22 August    6.50am to 10.50am
Tuesday 23 August    3pm to 6pm
Wednesday 24 August    11am to 3pm
Thursday 25 August    6.50am to 10.50am
Friday 26 August    3pm to 6pm
Saturday 27 August    7.30am to 10.30am 12pm to 3pm
Monday 29 August    6.50am to 10.50am 11am to 3pm

Alternatively you can pick up a timetable from the Redland Bay ticket office from 22 August.

You can also access timetable and other public transport information by downloading the MyTransLink app, using the TransLink journey planner or by calling 13 12 30.

Hopefully this does the job.  There have been a number of complaints about poor connections between buses and ferries out east.

It wouldn't surprise me if in time the Coochiemudlo and North Stradbroke ferries became part of the network as well, although North Stradbroke would be a bit more challenging.
