What happened to the ' super ' buses?

^ Those are high floor buses though that can't run off the grid.

You can get a conventional artic up to 200+ if you rip all the seats out and throw ADRs to the wind.

Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council could not organise a party at McDonalds, so I doubt we see superbuses any time soon.

It always amazes me that Brisbane is so out of the bus 🚌 innovation loop.

When you consider how well developed the busways are really very odd.
Half baked projects, have long term consequences ...

There won't be a metro in it's current proposed format.  It's a glorified articulated bus with a 3rd rail pantograph that would cut half of the current busway capacity.

Whatever alignment there is still going to be transfer points thus Super busses will be needed.
