Patricia Petersen, who will either contest the mayoralty or Division 7, is front and centre of the fracas.

Division 3 candidates Hayley Finocchio and Steven Wood have also weighed in, with the trio accusing the Ipswich City Council of unfairness with its regulations over sign permits and saying that the $600 refundable bond was too much to pay.

In political terms, Dr Petersen is a fruitcake.  She is a serial candidate for any vacant seat going.  Quote apart from unfunded loopy policies, in the past she has handed out how-to-vote cards dressed in a skimpy bikini with an Australian flag theme.  http://www.qt.com.au/news/patricias-weird-and-wacky-world/2518883

Queensland Times --> OPINION: 'Whippy for Ippy' in mayor race

Monorail ...  it appears!  :P :o

There used to be a drag racing soapbox derby held on Brisbane St as part of the Willowbank Winternationals week. I competed in the first one, very unsuccessfully I might add!
