My daughter rang TL, advice received as quoted:

"it was yeah looks like there's been an error and will put in a refund request.  And I was like well is it gonna happen again ?  And he was like it shouldn't, should charge me half price but if it doesn't to ring back "

Checked mine - received the discount as expected this morning.

My discount cut in yesterday (done some extra journeys), looks like an isolated problem.

Funny though, first week my daughter has used the go card! LOL

I also checked mine and the discount was applied as expected.  Maybe it's their way of "welcoming" new GO Card users

My daughter just rang to let me know the same thing happened on the way home at Darra. The touch device at the end of the platform wasn't working so she walked back to the other end, touched off and hit with another full fare.  She said "so much for the go card, I am going back to a weekly ticket ...."

This system is plagued with problems as reported everywhere.

Some of us seem to be able to use it successfully, others just have a series of problems.
Another letter in the mX tonight from a very disgruntled user who lost their travel budget for the week on failed touch penalties.

The operator told my daughter that "the go card system went down today!"


Whoooaaaaa    went down?   Now this is interesting.  Maybe there are a few people out there who might have been in the transition from 6 to 7 trip window that was corrupted or something??

Perhaps that was the operator meant?

This week I would normally have paid my $36 for a weekly, but using my Go Card saved $12 so far only because my journey's some weeks are irratic and don't follow any pattern, so the "actual" a Go Card offers suit my needs, some weeks.

I touched off at Petrie Station today ok however when I boarded the Thompsons Bus to continue my journey the driver said quote "its on us today, the system has had an early afternoon"

Can't get that with a weekly ! (tongue in cheek)

I find the go card works well for me to CN.  The problem is that many other users are having problems and then being denied refunds.  This is not the way to roll out the go card.

Well, the 10th trip (Central to Darra) was correctly debited at $1.60 this evening.

Strange to say the least. 

Should be fun next week for us all!
