The public toilets at the KGS Bus Station - pretty ordinary to begin with for a 21stC development  - now close at 7.30pm at night - sounds a bit 1950's to me!    :frs:

SEQ, where our only "fast-track" is in becoming the rail embarrassment of Australia!   :frs:

Does anyone go out after dark in Queensland?   :P

It is hard enough finding a loo during the day let alone in the evening.

You'd think it'd close with the last service!

Pro-tip: Instead of punishing the general public, inflict severe punishments on the vandals and other criminal scum!

A security guard/translink employee happily opened the parent room for us to change the kid about a year ago, when everything was locked. Said it was because people kept trashing it etc.

Simple, cheap, proven answer to "low lives" occupying public assets - play classical music - they hate it and move right along!   :bna:

:-r yeah the classical music they sometimes play at king george square would definitely irritate some.

As I've posted previously, the problem with having toilets at bus and train stations open more is that a lot of the general public evidently aren't toilet trained....Just look at what you encounter at the few places where they are more freely opened.

And that's around the time that the cleaners finish up.

Anyway, if you're desperate then you can use the help phone and request a toilet be opened. There's always a BSO on site from first to last service.

Nothing a charge on the toilet won't solve.

...Which would be no worse than what's commonplace in Yoorup. I wonder how much of a difference that would make.

I fully agree they need to be opened longer but dead SH*Ts is the problem. I certainly believe classical music and opening them just a touch later say 9.30 would resolve most of the issues. Personally I really hate having to find a tree in the botanic gardens! Plants only need so much urea before they start to get poisoned from it!
